Yesterday, April 8th we moved to the old city, Sultanahmet and we are quite pleased with the small (60 sq. mt) apt. in the working-class section of the area called Sultan Ahmet (sultanahmet) who built the Blue Mosque, a ten-minute walk from from here. We walked around the area a bit realizing how close the main monument are to one another. Here are some photos of what we saw on our walk. We have not gone into any of the mosques or museums yet as we wanted to familiarize ourselves first. Share our first afternoon in part of the old city with us.
