Another investigation of the Istaklal Cadessi area. I waited in Taksim Square for almost half and hour for the tram (yes it takes that long) and took it down to the midway section. Checked out the side streets which yielded lots of little shops. Really enjoyed discovering an artist's atelier of ceramic tile. Am posting her studio and samples of her hand-painted tiles and ceramics. Popped into a Turkish Delight Emporium and brought home a box of it. Since I have lost a front tooth crown to it, I decided there is no reason to not enjoy it. As I was going home another demonstration greeted the hordes of people on Istaklal. Since I do not read Turkish I have no idea what it was about!
